Utah High School Dance Festival
Parent Information
The Utah High School Dance Festival (UHSDF) was created in 2001, in partnership with the Utah State Board of Education (USBE).
About
Modeled after the National College Dance Festival, UHSDF is a one day festival UHSDF is not a competition, but an educational based festival for high school students.
Adjudication
Each school is permitted to bring upto 2 dances to be Adjudicated. At least 1 has to be student choreography.
Gala Concert
All attending schools have the opportunity to perform in the UHSDF Gala Concert. Each school is permitted to perform 1 piece.
The Gala Concert is a free, non-ticketed, event that is open to the public. Although it is an informal format, we do request standard concert etiquette from concert attendees.
Waivers
All students must have a parent signed Student Liability/Photo Release Form in order to participate at UHSDF. Parents may either fill out the Waiver online at – https://udeo.org/high-school-dance-festival/release/ -OR- download/print and fill out a 2024 UHSDF – Student Liability/Photo Release Form – PDF.
Note – Individual schools/teachers may have their own policies whether students need to complete the online or paper version. UHSDF defers to the school/teacher policy.
