Below are all the memberships we offer for the Utah Dance Education Organization (UDEO) and the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO), our national affiliate organization. Signing up for an NDEO membership automatically grants a dual-membership with UDEO. UDEO only memberships are also available. Membership fees are paid annually.

NDEO Membership Types

When you become an NDEO member you are automatically a UDEO member.

There are three kinds of memberships in NDEO; Professional, Student, and Institutional. Each of these three options have their own sub-membership. Please see pricing and details below to find the one that is right for you!

Professional Memberships

Professional Member: $115

Includes persons in career paths of dance education: dance educators, dancers and choreographers, dance specialists in medicine/science and technology, arts educators and administrators, and members interested in dance.

Ph.D. / Ed.D. Candidate Member: $115

Individuals pursuing a Ph.D / Ed.D. in any field related to dance and dance education.

Young Professional: $85 a year

A one-year non-renewable membership for individuals who are within 3 years of graduation from a high school, community college, college (associate degrees), university (bachelor's or master's degrees) or conservatory program and who are teaching or working in the field of dance or dance education. Must provide proof of recent graduation date (i.e. a diploma or transcript) to membership@ndeo.org

Retiree Member: $60

Includes persons retired from a career in professional dance education. For an additional $25, retirees may subscribe to the Journal of Dance Education.

Student Memberships

Graduate Student Member: $75

Includes matriculated full time graduate students pursuing Master's degrees. Includes a subscription to the Journal of Dance Education.

Undergraduate Student Member: $50

Includes matriculated full time undergraduate students pursuing Bachelor's degrees. For an additional $25, undergraduate students may subscribe to the Journal of Dance Education.

Institutional Memberships

Institutional Member-Studio, PreK-12, Performing Arts Organizations: $185

Includes private studios/academies, PreK-12 schools, Performing Arts Organizations, State Arts Council and Alliances, Local Education Agencies, and any other organization that supports dance education. Includes a subscription to the Journal of Dance Education. Eligible to start a chapter of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA) and can send two faculty members to National Conference under the institutional membership but separate conference fees will apply.

Institutional Member-Higher Education: $250

Includes colleges, universities, and institutions in postsecondary education that deliver dance programs or support the delivery of dance education. Includes a subscription to the Journal of Dance Education. Can send two faculty members to National Conference under the institutional membership - separate conference fees apply. Students of the Institution can join NDEO as as student member and are eligible for discounted rates on registration for National Conference.

Businesses and Corporate Member: $400

Includes members of the business community that support NDEO. Includes a subscription to the Journal of Dance Education and discounts on exhibits at National Conferences. Receives mention in many of the listings NDEO publishes (conference programs and other programs). Page listing in the NDEO online membership directory. Ability to contribute appropriate information through NDEO Online Forums.

UDEO Only Membership Types

We offer Professional and Student memberships. Please see pricing and details below to find the one that is right for you!

Professional Member: $40

Includes persons in career paths of dance education: dance educators, dancers and choreographers, dance specialists in medicine/science and technology, arts educators and administrators, and members interested in dance.

Student Member: $20

Includes matriculated full time undergraduate and graduate students.
