Alicia Trump (2016-2017)

Alicia Trump graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Weber State University. She has training in many forms of modern technique including Limón, Graham, Cunningham, and Gaga. Alicia also has training in ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, and hip hop. She is currently continuing her dance education through regularly attending company classes, and participating in summer/winter dance workshops with both Repertory Dance Theatre and Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company. Alicia was the first dance major at WSU to receive Departmental Honors in Performing Arts, she was also awarded the Outstanding Graduating Senior in Dance Award. Alicia is currently on faculty at Luv 2 Dance Studio, and substitutes for Repertory Dance Theatre's Dance Center on Broadway. "Not Alone", a duet that she co-choreographed with Carrie Lee Miles took the Overall 2nd Place Award at the 2015 Rocky Mountain Choreography Festival. Alicia has performed professionally with Repertory Dance Theatre, Rafael Dance, Brine Arts, Wasatch Collective Dancers, and Kairos Dance Company of LA. Alicia also performed as one of the six dancers in the Utah Opera's production of Turandot in March 2014. Alicia presented her own choreography with Wasatch Collective Dancers in San Francisco in May 2013 at the Dance Mission Theatre. In 2012, she was awarded the Outstanding Choreographer Award by the Department of Performing Arts at WSU. Alicia was chosen to present her own choreographic work, "Symmetric Transformation", at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research in 2012. Alicia had the opportunity to work closely with world-renowned choreographer Charlotte Boye-Christensen, and was selected by audition to be a featured dancer in Charlotte's work titled "Stirrings" in 2012. While attending WSU, Alicia received numerous dance scholarships. She has performed and choreographed for WSU's Orchesis Dance Theatre, been a part of Weber State's outreach program called Moving Company, and has also participated and performed in the American College Dance Festival. Alicia has a great love for dance, and enjoys sharing it through performing, choreographing, and teaching dance.
